Hot Buttered Rum and Tea Toddy

1 serving + extra spiced butter
Make a batch of this spiced butter to keep in the fridge, because it’s always the right time for a buttered rum hot toddy.
Ingredients
- 1 stick (4 ounces) unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
- 2 ounces dark or aged rum
- 1 Luzianne® Unsweet Tea Single Serve Cup, freshly brewed
- Cinnamon stick, for garnish (optional)
- Orange twist, for garnish
Directions
- COMBINE butter, sugar, vanilla extract and spices in a bowl and beat with a hand-held mixer until well combined. In a heat-proof glass or mug, add rum and 2 tablespoons of the spiced butter mixture. (Remaining butter can be stored in airtight container in refrigerator for future use.)
- TOP with hot tea and stir until ingredients are well incorporated. Garnish with cinnamon stick and orange twist.
