Maple Bourbon Sweet Tea Cocktail

Yield:

14 (6 ounce) cocktails

Grab your favorite bourbon and a Luzianne Ready to Pour Sweet Tea Gallon – and serve this Southern classic. The Maple Bourbon Sweet Tea Cocktail is made for tailgates, game-day spreads and porch parties. Pour it into ice-packed 32-ounce drink buckets or go-cups, or double the recipe (use a whole Luzianne Sweet Tea Gallon jug), serve it in a punch bowl over a block of ice and let the good times roll.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup pure New England maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 64 ounces Luzianne® Sweet Tea (1/2 of a Luzianne Ready to Pour Sweet Tea Gallon jug)
  • 12 ounces (1 1/2 cups) bourbon
  • 2 to 4 dashes cinnamon bitters, optional
  • Ice, for serving
  • Cinnamon sticks, for garnish
  • Thinly sliced lemon wheels, for garnish

Directions

  1. In a pitcher, combine the maple syrup and lemon juice; stir well until the maple syrup has dissolved. Add the tea and bourbon; stir until fully blended. Add the bitters, if desired.
  2. Pour into ice-filled drink containers (such as 32-ounce drink buckets, go cups or glasses) and garnish with cinnamon sticks and lemon wheels.
  3. This recipe can be doubled and served in a punch bowl with a block of ice.
