Hibiscus Hush Bourbon & Sweet Tea Cocktail

Chef Reyaña Radcliff of Your Braisen Chef makes a floral simple syrup using Luzianne Hibiscus Tea to round out the smoky notes of a good Southern bourbon in her Hibiscus Hush Bourbon & Sweet Tea cocktail – just the thing for sipping slow on a summer afternoon.

Ingredients

  • 2 Luzianne Hibiscus Tea family size tea bags
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Juice of 1/2 orange
  • 6 ounces bourbon
  • Ice

Directions

  1. Bring tea bags, sugar and water to a boil until sugar is dissolved. Cool for 2 hours or up to overnight, with tea bags.
  2. Remove tea bags from tea and pour the concentrated tea, orange juice and bourbon into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  3. Cover the shaker and shake for 5 seconds; strain the liquid into cocktail glasses filled with ice or fun ice cubes.
