Peachy Sweet Tea Frozen Pops

Yield:

8-10 frozen pops

Got a ready-to-pour Luzianne Sweet Tea Gallon in the fridge? Pour some over fresh summer peaches and freeze to make delicious frozen treats for the kids. For the grownups, add a splash of vodka, bourbon, or rum to make peachy sweet tea cocktail pops.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Luzianne Sweet Tea (we used ready-to-pour Sweet Tea Gallon)
  • 2 ripe peaches, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
  • Popsicle molds and sticks

Directions

  1. Thinly slice the peaches into small wedges that will fit inside your popsicle molds. Place several peach slices into each mold.
  2. Pour Luzianne Sweet Tea over the peaches, leaving about 3/4 inch at the top for expansion.
  3. Add a splash of lemon juice to each mold, if desired (for brightness).
  4. Insert sticks and freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight.
  5. To easily remove the pops from the molds, run warm water over the outside of the molds for a few seconds.

For the grownups: Peachy Sweet Tea Cocktail Pops

  1. Soak the peach slices in 3/4 cup vodka, bourbon, or white rum for 30-60 minutes before assembling.
  2. Drain the peaches, reserving the liquor. Place the drained peaches in the molds.
  3. Add 2–3 tablespoons of the reserved liquor to the 3 cups of sweet tea; pour the mixture over the peaches in the molds.
  4. TIP: Too much alcohol prevents the pops from freezing solid. Keep the alcohol to about 10% or less of the total sweet tea mixture.
