Luzianne Tea makes a splash at the Memphis In May World Championship BBQ Cooking Contest
The Luzianne Tea team made plenty of new friends at our next summer festival stop, the Memphis In May International Festival’s World Championship BBQ Cooking Contest. We showed up with our newly designed traveling Luzianne Tea Brew House to hand out ice-cold sweet tea and fun Luzianne merchandise to festival goers, and more than 3,000 got to taste – and enjoy – our tea. This led to questions such as “Where can I buy this?” and “Does this come in a gallon?” Needless to say, we’ve pointed our new Luzianne Tea fans in the right direction so they can stock up and enjoy all summer long.

We created this Sweet & Spicy Spiked Luzianne Iced Tea Cocktail specially for festival goers to enjoy at the BBQ Cooking Contest. It was perfect for washing down a big plate of BBQ!

We also got a chance to catch up with the proprietors of the famous Shed BBQ & Blues Joint of Mississippi, who took home the Grand Champion Prize at the festival. They told us that they’ve been serving Luzianne Iced Tea at their restaurant for 24 years and counting, because “our grandma said we had to.” Sounds like grandma had really good taste!
