Green Tea and Watermelon Piña Coladas

First, make ice-cubes with Luzianne® Green Tea and watermelon juice – they’re the key to making the most flavorful frozen cocktails, like this melony twist on that tropical favorite, the piña colada.

Ingredients

  • About 12 Green Tea and Watermelon Ice Cubes, recipe follows
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup frozen watermelon chunks
  • 1 cup white rum
  • 1/2 cup cream of coconut
  • 4 small watermelon wedges, for garnish

Directions

  1. Ahead of time, make the Green Tea and Watermelon Ice Cubes.
  2. Blend about 12 of the Green Tea and Watermelon Ice Cubes with the pineapple, watermelon, rum and cream of coconut in a blender until smooth.
  3. Garnish with watermelon slices and cocktail umbrellas.
Green Tea and Watermelon Ice Cubes
  1. (Yield: About 18 standard size ice cubes.) Puree watermelon pieces in a blender until completely smooth. Strain juice through a fine mesh strainer to remove solids.
  2. Combine the tea and watermelon juice and stir well. Pour into ice cube trays and freeze.
